Looking to get into programmable, continuous-flow microfluidics but not quite ready to invest in the infrastructure required for solenoid valves? If you're willing to live with switching time on the order of tenths of seconds vs microseconds, then an open-source, 3D-printed syringe pump may be the right solution for you. This solution may not give you nanoliters of resolution out of the box, but it will provide the pneumatic pressure required to control most microfluidic devices.
Sweet! This looks great Ryan!
Schematic for wiring arduino and driver would be nice.
Hi – have you made any improvements over the published OpenSyringePump? http://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0107216
If so, you should consider publishing it in the Journal of Open Hardware: http://www.journalofopenhardware.org !
