Mitochondria provide essential intermediate metabolites for the nucleus, regulate and modify epigenetic markers, and participate in the epigenetic response of nuclear DNA and chromatin; in turn, mitochondria rely on the nucleus to promote most of their functional activities. The pathology most closely related to the epigenetic mechanism and easily affected by epigenetic pharmacology is cancer, and aging is one of the earliest physiological processes involving mitochondrial epigenetics. Keywords:
